My suggestion
[edit]Just add "Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was a Punjabi militant". Even though he originally did not support the idea of a Sikh state, the attack led by the Indian government caused his movements to evolve around the Sikh diaspora both in the Punjab and worldwide.
