Chinese character
[edit]Is the ch. here right? Guo Wu hui? Is that Guo Wu Yuan or something? I am not sure about that, 'cause I haven't heard of Guo Wu hui before. Gonna check it out. --FallingInLoveWithPitoc
- What's Guowu hui? Never heard of that before! Is it Guowu yuan? --Yacht 10:31, Nov 25, 2003 (UTC)
- Corrected. Why are you talking to yourself? >_< --Menchi 10:35, 25 Nov 2003 (UTC)
- I just noticed that again. since no one responded to me, I left a message again.... >_< --Yacht 12:40, Nov 25, 2003 (UTC)
I'll move this to State Council. A whole bunch of links head there and "China" isn't part of its official title. --Jiang 12:28, 12 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Standing Committee of the State Council of the People's Republic of China
There is no such body, or at least this English translation is incorrect. It should be State Council Executive Meeting. 2A02:810A:A80:7490:284C:4803:11D7:F303 (talk) 04:43, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- In fact, a number of people in Think tank and government space have erroneously referred to the Executive Meeting as the Standing Committee, people that the public expects to know these things. 2A02:810A:A80:7490:284C:4803:11D7:F303 (talk) 04:44, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
Re-write
[edit]Cfls, you should first discuss here if you want to do a complete rewrite of the article. Also, it seems your translation involves a very heavy amount of copy and paste from a government website. You also removed previously cited material without explanation. State Council of the People's Republic of China → State Council of China – Per WP:CONCISE, WP:COMMONNAME and WP:PRIMARYTOPIC; China is overwhelmingly used to refer to the PRC, and there isn't any ROC equivalent to the State Council. The Account 2 (talk) 16:34, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support it's self-explanatory OrientalTraveller (talk) 16:03, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support. State Council of China already redirects to State Council of the People's Republic of China, implying that Wikipedia considers it to be the PRIMARYTOPIC. TheodoresTomfooleries (talk) 22:13, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
